Interview with Executive Officer Yoshihiro Nobe on Nikkei DUAL

An interview with Mr. Yoshihiro Nobe, Executive Officer of Dream Incubator, has been published on Nikkei DUAL, a modern working parents magazine. The article provides some time-management tips for teleworkers during the COVID-19 pandemic as the blurred lines between personal and professional lives make it challenging for some telecommuters to get the tasks completed on time. Below are some tips:

  • Identify tasks for the day, set start/due dates with some extra time for corrections. Don’t wait until everything is perfect before submitting it for review;

  • If you finish early, do not start anything new right away. Rushing through tasks only make you busier, not more productive;

  • Strategic planning: E.g. spend morning time to work with others, dedicate the afternoon for some deep work;

  • Time-block your “medium and long-term tasks” on weekly/monthly schedule so that they can’t be scheduled over;

  • Put personal schedules during working hours on shared calendars;

  • Schedule your breaks and do some 5-minute workouts. You will come back more relaxed and focus better.
