An interview with Rep Director and COO Kyohei Hosono on Business Insider

An interview with Mr. Kyohei Hosono – Dream Incubator Inc. (“DI”) COO and Representative Director has recently been published on Business Insider.
The article focuses on DI’s overseas initiatives in emerging Asian countries, based on “the creation of society-changing business” approach for Vietnam and India. In April 2020, DI was assigned by JICA to conduct a research project on impact investment in developing countries. Mr. Hosono commented “[…] we are in an era where business cannot have sustainability without balancing the company’s profits and social benefits. That’s why DI wants to tackle social problems through large-scale business.”
Throughout his investments in Asia, he mentioned Vietnam as a challenging but potential market. The case also applies to India. “The rise of Chinese companies is prominent in the past decade but I’m convinced that the next 10 years will be India era,” he said, “What helps solve social issues in Asia is not just the money Japan pours into but also the Technologies Japanese SMEs hold, which have “society-changing” potential in developing economies.”
